For all my surfing friends, Wax your boards as the waves are coming !
The mutual funds are shaking the ocean and creating waves: They are called: DropBox, Evernote, Jawbone, DocuSign, Twilio, Cloudera, AppNexus, Lending club, Zenefits and Domo.
The Mutual Funds are "re-calculating the routes" as dozens of Unicorns ($1Bil+) valuations dropped double digits in the past quarter.
Those are the 'high seas' Rouge Waves, however the VCs will have to get honest as well, as the Swell will get closer to shore.
While the Early Stage startups will soon feel the Beach Breaks crashing them to the sand.
The good news, just like in surfing, is that this will tell the Men from the Boys.
Those who got Stronger (funded) can 'Duck Dive' under the Swell.
Those who got Faster (Speed) can Paddle over the Swell.
And those who got both and Positioning (Product and Market fit) will have the ride of their lives !!!
